Recovery Run

Recovery is such an overlooked aspect of athletic performance, yet recovery is where we achieve advancements in our athletic abilities. During periods of increased performance, the muscles are continually broken down. Its during the rest period where these “break downs” begin to heal and in the healing process, they come back stronger than they once were. It really is an interesting process and completely explains why we see those with considerably more experience, excelling in those running events longer than 26 miles.

Today’s workouts: 45 Min w/ 20 push-ups every 5 min, 3×10 squat jumps to platform
